Our Story
Turas Mara was founded as part of Sciath Teoranta in order to share South Connemara’s beautiful language, coastal culture and maritime history.
A family led endeavour our experience at sea range from over 20 years military service in the maritime domain along with a lifetime of fishing and diving in this part of the island of Ireland.
Our mission is to promote our native language, culture and bring exposure to the history and life of this very unique Gaeltacht Archipelago Community all while having an unforgettable adventure filled with new experiences and fun.
Mac Dara
We are the very grateful and proud owners of an Irish built vessel the Mac Dara.
A Redbay Stormforce built by the Redbay family from the coastal village of Cushendall at the foot of the Glens of Antrim.
Fully licensed by the Department of Transport to carry 10 passengers
